Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
PROCEDURES FOR MORNING AND AFTERNOON DISMISSAL
All students arriving by vehicle should use the car loop located in front of the school. Parents are asked to pull forward and unload students in the designated single-lane unloading area.
To keep traffic moving efficiently, students should be ready to exit the vehicle upon arrival with all necessary belongings in hand.
For safety, all students must exit from the passenger side of the vehicle onto the sidewalk. Students should never exit on the driver's side.
Students should arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. to ensure they have sufficient time to get to class and begin learning promptly. The instructional day begins at 7:30 a.m., and the tardy bell rings at 7:35 a.m.
When entering the school, please use the left lane to access the parking lot and park your vehicle. Bring your student's unique dismissal tag with you.
Proceed to the gym and join the Parent Escort line. Staff will verify your student's dismissal tag before release. Once verified, your child will be called to meet you in the gym.
After you and your child are reunited, please exit together through the rear gym doors to help maintain an efficient flow of traffic.
Car Pick-Up Procedure:
When entering the school parking lot, stay to the right and follow the traffic flow around the front of the building.
A staff member will collect your student's unique car tag number and enter it into our dismissal system. Once your number is entered, your child will be released and directed to their assigned color cone. Staff members will assist students in locating their vehicles and loading safely.
As a courtesy, staff will assist with car loading while dismissal traffic is active. Dismissal begins at 3:00 p.m. and is typically completed by 3:25 p.m.
After the car line has cleared, staff members will return to their campus duties. If you arrive after the dismissal line has ended, you will need to park and come inside the front office to retrieve your child.
Walkers
Students who will walk home independently must have a completed Independent Walker Permission Form.
Staff members escort walkers to the designated areas before releasing them to continue their walk home independently.
To enhance student safety and reduce interactions with dismissal traffic, walkers will be released between 3:15 p.m. and 3:25 p.m., after the majority of vehicle traffic has cleared.
By selecting Independent Walker as your child's dismissal method, you understand that your child will be released from campus without an adult escort. You acknowledge that you are choosing this dismissal arrangement and believe your child is capable of walking safely and independently after being released by school staff.
